Procaliber 9.8 is the champion of the family. It's a cross country hardtail made for riders who race to win, with a carbon IsoSpeed frame that soaks up trail chatter without sacrificing efficiency, a lightweight FOX fork that charges down technical descents and a smooth Shimano XT drive train.

You're chasing the top spot on the podium, and you want a super-fast steed that's built from the ground up to get you there.

A light and stiff carbon frame with trail-smoothing IsoSpeed, IsoSpeed, a weight-saving FOX Step-Cast fork with a remote lockout, a whisper-smooth Shimano XT drive train with extra-light extra-stiff carbon cranks, matching carbon handlebar and seat post, and extra-wide, extra-fast Bontrager Kovee Elite 30 carbon wheels with a Rapid Drive hub that gives you instant acceleration off the start line.

Every bit of this bike is built to fly, from the stiff yet compliant carbon IsoSpeed frame to the lightweight, high-performance components. It's an XC racer's dream hardtail.
- Wider Kovee Elite 30 wheels provide better tyre support so you can run lower pressure and get more traction
- Shimano XT delivers smooth, precise shifting with just a light touch of the lever
- The IsoSpeed decoupler makes it ride smoother than any other hardtail, so your body doesn't get beaten up by trail chatter
- You get a Straight Shot downtube for extra-stiff, responsive handling without added weight and a Knock Block headset that protects against spinning bars and fork crowns
- The remote lockout lets you lock out the fork without taking your hands off the bars

OCLV Mountain Carbon
Trek's mountain-specific carbon fibre is tougher carbon, with unique materials and lay-up procedures, Trek's advanced engineering, and a higher standard of testing.

IsoSpeed smooth
IsoSpeed takes the edge off body-beating small bumps and trail chatter so you can stay stronger longer, without giving up any pedalling efficiency.

Straight Shot downtube
Straight Shot downtube gives you an extra-stiff frame without adding any weight, so you can stick your line through the rough stuff and still fly up the next climb.

Rapid Drive 54 rear hub
With 54 points of engagement, Rapid Drive gives you nearly instant acceleration instead of a clunky lag when you step on the pedals. You get smooth, immediate power to blast out of corners and hammer through the rough stuff. And that extra pedal ratchet adds control that can make all the difference when tackling a tricky climb.
