Introducing the HX 1700 wheel by DT Swiss, built specifically to confront the unique challenges of heavy duty E-MTB use. This revolutionary wheel takes resilience and reliability to the next level for avid trailblazers who need their E-MTB more on the path than in the repair shop.

  • E-MTBs are notoriously tough on wheels, due to the added weight, higher drive torque, and frequent, lengthy excursions these bikes endure. The HX 1700 rise to this challenge, giving birth to a new breed of durable, long-lasting wheels cut for serious E-MTB usage.
  • Front and centre of the HX 1700 are the legendary 350 hubs, custom built by DT Swiss and optimised for E-MTBs. With 24-tooth ratchets and oversized hub shells, these wheels promise improved load transfer.
  • The alloy rims are welded and fitted with reinforced spoke beds to resist fatigue and handle high loads for extended periods. The straight pull spokes are designed specifically for Hybrid with an oversized 2.35 mm hub interface, providing a strong defence where stress on the wheel is most acute.
  • For a wheel to earn DT's coveted Hybrid certification, it must survive 50% more lifecycles, have spokes and rims that can endure 20% higher load tests, and bearings that can shoulder almost twice the maximum load of a standard wheel.
  • While conceived for E-MTB use, these wheels are also perfect for larger riders, bike packers, or any enthusiastic cyclist seeking a highly durable wheelset with an impressive weight limit.
  • The HX 1700 wheel boasts a 30mm internal width to fully support modern high volume trail tyres.
  • Keep calm and ride hard, the HX 1700's system weight limit is a hearty 150KG. Additionally, each wheel comes with DT's tubeless rim tape and valves included for your convenience.

When rugged resilience and unwavering reliability is your requirement, trust in the HX 1700 wheel. Embrace the challenges of the trail, knowing your E-MTB is equipped with a wheel designed to endure.
