By analyzing Retül data and incorporating professional rider input, Specialized has created a Performance Road Geometry that offers instant response and optimal power transfer.Compliance is a crucial element of a quality ride, as stiffness alone is not enough. Specialized has designed a seatpost that adds compliance in the upper 120mm, where clamping does not occur. The seatstays have been dropped and the seat tube shape has been altered to further enhance compliance. Additionally, the Tarmac now has tire clearance up to 30mm, which allows for lower pressures, increased traction, and improved comfort.
