Enhanced with our upgraded Rider-First Engineered™ technology, the Tarmac Expert offers precise stiffness and compliance exactly where needed. We've refined the geometry using an abundance of Ret∅¼l data points and professional rider input, leading to a perfect balance of a responsive front end and short wheelbase. The result? Instantaneous response and optimal power transfer.
The design includes a seatpost that incorporates compliance into the upper 120mm, lower seatstays, and an altered seat tube shape, mitigating the feel of the road beneath you while still maintaining the race-machine drive of the Tarmac. Coupled with a tire clearance up to 30mm, these enhancements offer reduced rolling resistance, increased traction, and additional comfort for those sustained rides.
Understanding the importance of aerodynamics in achieving speed, we focused on three areas for 'free aero': a new fork shape, dropped seatstays with aero tubes, and a D-shaped seatpost and seat tube.
