When we set out to create a lightweight disc wheelset, we didn't want it to be "just another climbing wheel." We wanted to provide you with the lightest disc wheelset out there with all the aerodynamic attributes of something twice its depth. It was a tall order, but in the end, our CLX 32 Disc not only delivers on this, but it also provides incredible brake modulation and power in all conditions, increased impact resistance, and a disc-specific carbon layup that increases strength while decreasing weight.Our design process started with a low overall weight as our priority. With that in mind, we then focused on aerodynamics, designing and testing over 150 individual rims to find the optimal shape. After countless hours of testing, we settled on a 32-millimter depth shape that has undergone more wind tunnel testing than any other wheel in its category.Once we found the most aerodynamic shape, we worked on reducing the weight. We experimented with over 40 different layup methods to achieve our desired weight. As a result, the CLX 32 Disc is lighter and faster than any other lightweight wheel on the market.For the CLX 32 Disc rear wheel, we paired it with our Aero Flange (AF) series hub and DT Swiss Aero spokes to create the best overall system. The front wheel weighs 740 grams and has a 21mm-wide internal width. This lightweight design allows for easier acceleration, deceleration, and changing of direction. The wider width of the rim provides additional strength, enhanced aerodynamics, faster rolling properties, and improved tire support during cornering.Each front wheel also features CeramicSpeed bearings and includes a padded wheelbag, quick-release, tubeless plugs, and a tubeless valve.
