RECALL: On select 2019 / 2020 Specialized Sirrus and Sirrux X models

Dear Specialized Rider,


We are voluntarily recalling two-piece slotted cranks originally equipped on select 2019 and 2020 Sirrus and Sirrus X Models (purchased between approximately September 2018 and June 2020):

AFFECTED MODELS:

If you own any of the following 2019 or 2020 Sirrus or Sirrus X models, please stop using it immediately and bring it to your nearest Authorized Specialized Retailer.

The bike family name (“Sirrus” or “Sirrus X”) is written on the toptube and the model name (e.g. “3.0”) is written on the seatstay of your bicycle. For more information on how to determine whether your bike is affected, please visit your Authorized Specialized Retailer or go to www.specialized.com/safety-notices.


WHAT IS THE ISSUE:

Cranks may not have been installed to factory specification. You may lose control and fall if the non-driveside crankarm disengages while riding.


WHAT WILL SPECIALIZED DO FOR AFFECTED RIDERS:

If your cranks are affected, your Authorized Specialized Retailer will re-install them to factory specification at no cost to you.
