Workshop - Service & Repairs
Here at Climb on bikes we run the workshop a little differently. We don't have fixed price servicing, we don't have set prices for repairs and we never charge for anything that has not been agreed with the customer first.
So how do we cater for your needs?
Each persons needs are assessed on an individual basis whether it be a complete strip down and rebuild, or just a wheel tune up and gear check. The cycle or parts are checked through the customer and a good estimate is provided with specific needs highlighted. Once an agreement has been made we can give the customer an approximate time scale based on our competitive hourly rate of £30.00 + VAT. Together we can provide a written or verbal quotation and proceed on approval. This means we provide a fair service and do not over charge customers for anything that we have not supplied. Therefore if you bike only requires a ''gear tweak'' or a ''brake adjustments'', ten minutes in the workshop will only cost you £5.00 + VAT or a puncture repair for under £10.00 . All our staff are either qualified by Cytech or have a wealth of experience gained for ongoing in store training (headed by our workshop manager Pete Crump, British Cycling Mechanic) and laos have other skills brought forward from bike and motor cross backgrounds.
Our ongoing program includes ''Tech Sessions'' from our suppliers to ensure we are up to date on everything we offer in store and most products on the open market.
Please note, we are a busy shop, so make sure you book well in advance to secure a date that convenient for you. Normally we operate within a 3-5 day notice period of bringing in your bike. However in peak season even with four full time mechanics, this period of time could be anything up to a week!!
So we encourage you to dust off your bike or choose a range of new custom builds early to avoid last minute pleas of help, and let us keep you riding!!
See you in store
Clive and Team.
For a one to one chat please feel free to come in store and our friendly staff will be pleased to help and advise you. Alternatively contact us via phone or email provided on the contact us page.
